Green Floral Bridal Shower Cuppies
These cupcakes were made from love for a dear friend's bridal shower. Her wedding colors are green, ivory, and black and I wanted to incorporate them into her bridal shower dessert as well.
These cupcakes were a delicious and light white cake with vanilla buttercream. I iced these cupcakes in two different designs to match the party decor.
With the buttercream on half of the cupcakes I swirled it to make it look like little flowers. Then I accented the floral swirl with some green sugar crystals.
The other half of the cupcakes were iced in a giant upward swirl. At the top of that swirl was a green fondant daisy. These daisies matched the green daisies that were on the invitations and sprinkled on the tables at the shower.
I love the way these little cuppies turned out and so did the bride-to-be! They matched the overall theme and were delicious to boot! I'm so glad that she chose me to be one of the ones to be there for her on her big day and making her cupcakes and helping to plan the shower was the least that I could do! Congratulations Tori and I can't wait for the big day!

Itty Bitty Pretties!
Oh, mini cuppies how you steal my heart! I love the way these little cuties are bite size yet still manage to be just as cute as their larger (regular size) cupcake counterparts!
These mini cupcakes were for a bridal shower were the theme centered around slate blue, berry red, and rings... DIAMOND rings! The host of the shower wanted them to look fancy and cute while still reflecting the overall theme of the party. I would say MISSION COMPLETE!
The flavor of these cupcakes was a delicious champagne cake with a coordinating vanilla buttercream. They were bite-size AND delicious... what an awesome combination. There were only 48 ordered so the extra came on a road trip with me to my husband's hometown. Let me tell you the nieces and nephews sure did appreciate it!
There were 3 different designs for these 48 cupcakes... 12 of each. The first was a white floral swirl of buttercream adorned with a slate blue daisy made from fondant and a plastic diamond ring.
The second design was a mound of vanilla buttercream covered in white sugar crystals giving these ones a little crunch! And again a plastic diamond ring.
The last design is the same as the first. The only difference being the berry red daisy. The daisy was made from fondant while the diamond ring is not edible.
The party host loved the cupcakes and I hope the bride-to-be did as well! I really liked how super cute these little babies were. I think I have a new found love for itty bitty cuppies! So if you're thinking of ordering some... I'm your gal! :)

No Need For Bug Spray Here!
The past week there has been an infestation of the greatest kind! My kitchen was taken over by ladybugs between this cake and the ladybug smash cake! Apparently ladybugs are good luck so that's good! This order was a combination of cupcakes and a smash cake for a little girl who was turning 1. I'll start with the smash cake...
This cake was a 6" round single layer smash cake. It was a simple white cake (as most of the smash cakes I make are) with vanilla buttercream icing.
The smash cake was topped with this cute little ladybug also made from buttercream icing. Hopefully the red and black icing were easy to clean up because I'm sure baby Abigail wanted to "play" with this little ladybug.
The daisy was also made from buttercream icing. It was hand piped on the cake to match the daisies on all of the cupcakes. On top was a large red 1 to show off just how big the birthday girl is getting!
Of course the cake had to say the birthday girl's name! I decided to pipe it on the smash cake in curly cue letters. See how they kind of match the antennas on the ladybug itself! I love how little things like that can tie in together and make a cake that much better! On to the cuppies...
The cupcakes were a mix of chocolate cake and white cake but all were topped with a giant swirl of buttercream icing, a single little ladybug, and a white daisy! The ladybugs and daisies were hand made from fondant. I just think these overly small details make these cupcakes super precious! Makes you want to pick them up and eat them, right?!?! There were four colors of pastel icing on the cupcakes and they are as follows...
There were green cupcakes...
There were blue cupcakes...
There were yellow cupcakes... (my favorite color!)
And there were purple cupcakes!
I absolutely love how these little darlings turned out! I also love how the smash cake and the cupcakes match so well! Abigail's mom loved them as well! As for the party guests... well, they loved them too! I'm hoping Abigail loved her smash cake and that her mom got some great pictures! Ladybugs are all the rage right now and I absolutely know why... they are oh-so-cute!
"Thank you so much for the beautiful cupcakes for my daughter's one-year birthday party yesterday! They were a hit with everyone. And the best part is they were delicious. I'll be looking you up for future events!" -Steph A.

Funky Pink Zebra Cupcakes
These cupcakes were for a little girl who was turning 4 and as you can tell she is a pretty fabulous little chicka! Her mom wanted pink and zebra striped cupcakes with a few different designs and these are what I came up with.
Some of the cupcakes were white cake with vanilla buttercream while others were chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. Both classic combinations and both were sure to appease someone's taste in the crowd! There were no fondant on these cupcakes so everything you see here was buttercream with the exception of the gumball on top of the all pink cupcakes!
There were 3 dozens of these puppies, each dozen with a different design. The zebra print on these cupcakes was hand piped. Then it was outlined in pink just to keep the whole theme together. The zebra print cupcakes were the only ones that would sit in pink cupcake liners.
These cupcakes were topped with a pink buttercream swirl that was textured. At the peak was a single pink gumball... sure to please any child! These pink pretties were inside of a zebra print cupcake liner.
Last but not least, this cupcake design was the hubby's favorite! (He always has a say in my designs which I always appreciate!) It was a simple piped rose in vanilla buttercream. Then to set it off hot pink sprinkles were used to tie it to the other cupcakes. These cupcakes were also set in zebra print cupcake liners.
I love the way these cupcakes turned out and so did the birthday girl's mom! Judging by her response I think I have a cupcake customer for life her daughter and future son-on-the-way! I hope to do more cupcakes in the future because they are so fun and cute, so if you need some little cuppies... I'm your gal!

Is it a Boy or a Girl?
We shall soon find out!

These cupcakes were for some friends who were having a gender reveal party for their little bun in the oven. Jeff and Patricia got all of their closest friends and family together and needed some delicious desserts for their party.

They had the doctor write down the sex of the baby and put it in an envelope. They took the envelope to a party supply store with a huge box that was wrapped in blue and pink. They told the employees to fill the box with appropriately colored helium filled balloons so that when they opened the box up at the party it would spew out either pink or blue balloons letting everyone know if the new baby was going to be a boy or a girl! Such a cute idea and it was so fun to watch and be a part of!

These cupcakes were a delicious vanilla almond cake topped with vanilla buttercream. They were then covered in fondant decorated in blues and pinks with flowers, zig zags, and swirls. They turned out super cute and everyone loved the design as well as the taste!

I even made coordinating cupcake liners dressed with blue and pink bows. These cupcakes screamed "Boy! No, girl! Definitely girl! Well, maybe it's a boy! Or maybe a girl! Yep, girl! No boy! Definitely boy!" Did I confuse you? Ok, Ok, enough waiting! Now for the results...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

Congratulations Jeff and Patricia! They are soon-to-be parents of another baby girl! That makes 4 girls in the family and although it seems like an overwhelmingly amount of estrogen in the house, I think Jeff loves it! I'm so happy for you guys and can't wait to meet the little lady!

Fiesta de Graduación con Pastelitos!
This is just a short little post to show off some cupcakes that were for a graduation FIESTA!!!!
I forgot to take pictures of these cuppies but fortunately the grad's dad was a professional photographer and got this shot and sent it to me! This was for a friend's graduation party from high school. She was having a party that was Mexican themed through and through. She had a taco bar, a margarita machine (non-alcoholic for the kids), and my margarita cupcakes and chocolate jalapeno cupcakes.
Both cupcakes were topped with cream cheese icing. For the margarita cupcakes it was a tequila lime cream cheese icing, candy lime, and a green straw. Many guests asked, "Am I supposed to drink this?" Then they didn't wait for an answer and just bit right in! The chocolate jalapeno cupcakes were topped with a classic cream cheese icing and a candied jalapeno on top. Although these cupcakes are bite-sized, they seem to steal the show every time! And this time was no exception! All in all though, the party guests loved both cupcakes and they were all gone by the end of the night.
Congratulations on graduating Cassi! I know that you will do great in College! And thanks for allowing me to provide the dessert for your party!

Frozen or on the rocks?
How do you like your margarita...

CUPCAKE?!?!?!?!

These were just a fun little project I did on that fabulous Mexican Holiday Cinco de Mayo where margaritas, salsa, and tacos steal the show every year! I made these margarita flavored cupcakes with tequila lime cream cheese icing for my office. Let me tell you that everyone LOVED them!

These mini margaritas were complete with "salt" around the rim (it was actually sugar), a candy lime, and straw! Although they were not drinkable a friend suggest I fill the straws with tequila just before serving. I may try that next time... when I'm not bringing them to work ;)

These cupcakes were a huge hit and have since been requested for future Mexican themed parties and holidays! Next time they will have green icing to make them look more like margaritas and perhaps colorful straws! Yeah... that will look super cute!

Baby Baby Baby, oh Baby (a la Justin Beiber song)
This cake was for a baby shower celebrating the upcoming birth of a little baby boy! The cake was designed to match the shower invitations. Although the colors were so vibrant I think the little circles turned out great! Pastel colors scream baby anyways, right?

The cake portion of this purchase was an 8 inch round chocolate cake. If was filled and covered with rich cholocate buttercream. To top this chocolate dream off the entire cake was covered with a delicious chocolate ganache. What's better than a super duper chocolately cake for a mommy-to-be? It sounds like a match made in heaven to me! The topper was a too-cute pair of baby Converse shoes. Unfortunately I failed to get a picture of that! (Hopefully I will be sent one to post here!)
The cupcakes for the shower were a yellow cake with vanilla buttercream dyed different colors to match the main cake and the invitations. The dots on top of the cupcakes that also adorned the main cake were hand painted to match the invitations. That was probably my favorite part of making this cake... and cupcakes! The cupcakes sat within brown cupcake collars to match the entire theme of the shower.
No one had the baby blues at this party! The cake and the cupcakes were so well-liked that the grandma-to-be personally called me after the shower to tell me how much she loved everything! I was so happy that she asked me to make this cake and cupcakes for her and I'm so happy that she enjoyed every last bite!

Bringing the HEAT!
If you live anywhere near Lenexa, Kansas (as I do) you know that the Lenexa Chili Challenge is a big deal! Hundreds of teams set up tents, make chili, and turn it in to be judged. Spectators can pay $2.00 to get in and everyone has a spoon for which they can use to sample everyone's chili! YUM! A huge part of chili is jalapenos, which got me thinking... I was going to try something not many people have heard of, CHOCOLATE JALAPENO CUPCAKES!

These cupcakes consisted of a delicious chocolate cake with a little heat thrown in. Chopped up candied jalapenos were distributed throughout the batter along with a little jalapeno juice to spice it up a little more. These devilishly delicious cupcakes were topped with a cooling cream cheese icing and a candied jalapeno on top.

I made these little pretties bite sized because I knew that no one could just have one! We figured out that the more you chewed these mini cuppies the more the jalapenos showed their true red hot colors. Everyone loved them and they were a huge hit - to the tastebuds!
